Roger Ribo

Actor, director and stage creator

Roger Ribó trained in London  at the International School of Performing Arts (LISPA, currently Arthaus Berlin), where he completed a Postgraduate degree in Physical Theater and Theater Creation and specialized in theater teaching. He is currently the artistic director  of the collectively created theater company Espai en Construcció in which he has directed the shows: 'Beatriu' (within the Grec Festival 2021), 'Si jo no hi fos' (the party would be more fun) (Jury Mention award in the Sample Escénia de Foiós, Valencia) and 'Et vindré a tapar'  (Award for Best Joint Performance at the XII Festival Cenit de Sevilla).

As a director, he has also worked with Sístole Teatro (London 2012), company. Ouverture Opera (as assistant director of the opera Così Fan Tutte, Switzerland 2014) and has been movement consultant for different shows, including Tot bé, thanks to the production company Anexa (Barcelona 2015).  As an actor, he has participated, among others, in the works 'How it Ended', 'Certain Dark Things' and 'Death Song' with the British company 'You Need Me', of which he was a founding member and associated artist.


He has been nominated for The Stage Awards and the Total Theater Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has toured multiple times in the UK and seasons at the Arcola Theatre, New Diorama Theater and Gate Theater in London, among other shows in Barcelona.
